Unsolicited advice: you've got too much going on! Especially mainlines like the Ruy Lopez or Najdorf take time to learn. I'd suggest focusing on *one* thing per month.

Thanks Nate!

Technically I am *reviewing* the Najdorf lines. I’m not studying new lines, just trying to keep up on reviewing lines and making sure I “get the plans” which is a combination of reviewing and playing those lines.

Last month it was my main focus, though I did touch on the Roy Lopez a bit. This month it’s mainly studying Ruy Lopez and keeping the reviews on for the najdorf. Hope that makes sense and maybe shows that my workload isn’t as high as it might seem?

If you use spaced repetition to review, I think you should keep everything you're using in the review schedule. This is the upside of spaced repetition: once you're past the initial stage, the time required to maintain the knowledge is very low.

That’s exactly what I’m doing. Most of my opening study is Chessable based. :D

How can you say you're doing "abysmally" agains the Modern? You've played three games and won one. I think you need a larger sample to establish how you are really doing against it.

Based on my previous results against it, not just this month. :D
